James Bernard Hausner, connu professionnellement sous le nom de Jerry Hausner, était un acteur de radio et de télévision américain, mieux connu comme l'agent de Ricky Ricardo dans "I Love Lucy" et comme la voix de Waldo dans "Mr. Magoo" et plusieurs personnages tels que Hemlock Holmes, The Mole, Broodles et Itchy dans "The Dick Tracy Show" (il avait également travaillé comme réalisateur de dialogues pour ces deux dessins animés). À Broadway, Hausner avait le rôle de Sammy Schmaltz dans Queer People (1934). Il a joué aussi dans le théâtre de stock et le vaudeville avant d'entrer dans la radio à WJAY à Cleveland, Ohio. À la radio, il était un habitué de Blondie, The Jim Backus Show, The Judy Canova Show, Too Many Cooks et Young Love .  Hausner était remarquable en tant que propriétaire de taverne française qui, dans la scène finale des "Chemins de la gloire" de Stanley Kubrick, présente la chanteuse allemande, interprétée par Christiane Susanne Harlan, la future Mme Christiane Kubrick. Hausner est décédé d'une insuffisance cardiaque le 1er avril 1993 au Cedars-Sinai Medical Center de Los Angeles, en Californie. Il avait 83 ans et a été enterré à Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Hollywood Hills)..
