The Portland police have discovered that random victims are being kidnapped and forced to play games to survive in a sick version of a reality TV show, broadcast on the dark web. The dark games are for the entertainment of the criminal underworld who gamble on the results. The lead detective and his cybercrimes team look for clues in the broadcasts, anything to help them track down the location of the game before more are killed cruelly in front of a paying audience. Matters only escalate once the story breaks, as the dark web broadcasts are shared across social media platforms, raising the stakes and the number of viewers, and bringing the public’s eye on every action the police take. Helplessly, the world watches with a kind of morbid fascination as the losers of the games are dispatched on camera in gruesome ways, whilst the detective and his team race against time to uncover the location of the dark games and save the captives.
